Public transport is an essential component of urban development, providing affordable, reliable, and accessible mobility for residents while supporting economic growth. In Kigali, Rwanda's capital city, public transport is the primary means of travel for thousands of people commuting daily to work, school, business centers, and other destinations. However, rapid urbanization, population growth, and the increasing number of private vehicles have led to severe traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. These challenges have affected the efficiency of public transport, resulting in longer travel times, delays, and reduced passenger satisfaction.
